After nearly being shocked in its first playoff match, the second-seeded Cinnaminson High School girls’ tennis team was ousted from the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 2 playoffs this week.
Cinnaminson fended off a challenge from No. 10 Delran, 3-2, in the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 2 playoffs, according to nj.com.
Cinnaminson picked up wins at first and third singles and second doubles to advance.

First singles player Amanda Adams defeated Kaitlin Fee, 6-4, 6-0. Third singles player Alexa Pritchard downed Shannalynn Murt, 6-1, 6-1.
The second doubles team of Cindy Liu and Tori Robinson picked up the toughest win of the day, a three-set victory over Serena Cooper and Josephine Garcia, 6-1, 6-7 (1-7), 6-1.

Second singles player Jenna Cuccinota fell to Emmy Groman, 6-3, 6-0. The first doubles team of Lindsay McCarthy and Jenna Monnaleto dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision to Brianna Boyd and Emily Martin.
On Thursday, the Pirates were knocked out by No. 3 Rumson, 5-0, in the semifinals.
Cinnaminson is 9-4 on the season.
