Cinnaminson Wrestling Team Takes 4th Place at Tournament

Four Pirates advanced to the finals in the Arthur Marinelli Tournament Friday.

Four Cinnaminson High School wrestlers advanced to the final rounds of their weight classes at the Arthur O. Marinelli tournament Friday, according to NJ.com.

However, no Pirates grappler was able to come home with a title as the team took fourth place overall in the 14-team tournament with 116 points.

Andrew DeStefano advanced to the final round at 145 pounds, but was pinned by Clearview’s John Vanbrill in three minutes, 10 seconds.

Pat Morton advanced to the 152-pound final, but fell short against Neptune’s Romello Union by a score of 7-4.

Zack Sireci was shut out, 7-0, in the 182-pound final, falling to Ocean City’s Cooper Gallagher.

At 195, Ryan Adelsberger fell short against Lower Cape May’s Cory Damiana, 4-2, in the final.

Clearview won the team title with 194.5 points.
