Hurricanes Softball Team Captures Renegade Rumble Tournament Title

The Hurricanes posted three shutouts and let up a total of three runs in five games.

The Palmyra-Riverton Hurricanes u-12 softball team captured the Medfords Renegade Rumble first place trophy by going 5-0 during the tournament.

The Hurricanes posted three shutouts and let up a total of three runs in five games.

They defeated Delran 10-0, Pinelands 13-0, Kingsway 11-1, Marlton 8-2, and Mt. Laurel, 14-0, in the championship game.

The team consists of Samantha Matyjaszek, Madelyn Thompson, Julianna Mackafee, Jayme Livingstone, Miranda Horwath, Kaylie Sgroi, Anaya Hunte, Gianna Guierrero, Casey McFadden, Rachael DiMaio, Amanda Hoffman, Victoria Kihm and Morgan Hearn.

John Kroll is the head coach and Dan Mackafee is the assistant coach. The other members of the coaching staff are Matt Kihm, Ben Sgroi and Butch Horwath.
