Senior Profile: Cross-Country Runner Christina White

Christina White has not been a cross-country runner her entire time at Cinnaminson. In fact, her track and field coach, Derek Moore, convinced her to run cross-country. White gave it a shot and found another sport that she loves.

This week, in our Senior Profile, sports editor Jim Vassallo and White took time to discuss her love of running, her influences in high school, and the team’s rival during her varsity career.

Cinnaminson Patch: Do you plan to run cross-country in college?

Christina White: No.

Patch: Do you play any other sports?

White: Track and Field.

Patch: What or who got you so interested in cross-country?

White: My track and field coach Derek Moore.

Patch: What is so enjoyable about the sport for you?

White: The running.

Patch: If there was one thing you could teach the younger players on the team before the season is over what would it be?

White: To try your best and never give up.

Patch: What are your favorite classes and why?

White: Social Studies because I love learning about people in the past.

Patch: Who are your favorite teachers and why?

White: Coach Jo Guscott and also because she’s my cross-country coach.

Patch: Who has influenced you the most during your time at Cinnaminson High School?

White: The teachers.

Patch: What is the most important thing the coaching staff has taught you in your time on the squad?

White: To always try my best.

Patch: Which school has been your biggest rival throughout your varsity career?

White: Moorestown.
