Special Guests Visiting Delran for Farmers Market Week

There'll be plenty to do and see at the farmers market this Tuesday.

The Delran Farmers Market will be visited by a pair of special guests this week, when New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Douglas H. Fisher and Health Commissioner Mary E. O’Dowd stop by Tuesday to call attention to the state- and nationwide observance of Farmers Market Week.

The weeklong celebration of the agriculture industry, which recognizes the more than 8,000 farmers markets nationwide registered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) , began Sunday and runs through Saturday.

Fisher and O’Dowd will be joined at the market by Patricia Dombroski, United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service regional administrator, and other state, county and local officials.
