Capital Projects Update, Winter Concerts Highlight Week Ahead

After last week's surprise snowstorm dumped several inches on the area and wreaked havoc with traffic, forecasts are calling for another helping of the white stuff this week.

There's a 70 percent chance of snow Tuesday, but with accumulations only up to 1-2 inches (as of now), you can safely hold off on raiding the supermarket for emergency supplies.

Township committee meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the municipal building and the board of education meets at the same time Tuesday night. An agenda for the committee meeting was not immediately available.

The BOE is expected to get an update from architect Robert Garrison after receiving news recently that the district had been approved for $6.5 million in state funding for capital projects.

On Wednesday, at 7 p.m., the Cinnaminson High School (CHS) Music Department will present its annual Winter Concert in the high school auditorium. The festive—and free—musical event will feature performances by the CHS concert band and jazz band, along with the CHS concert choir, bell choir and chamber choir. 

Additionally, the New Albany Elementary second grade winter concert—"Our House is a Holiday House"—will be held at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
