Obituary: Barbara Hunter, Cinnaminson Farm Matriarch

Services will be held Thursday and Friday in Riverton.

Barbara H. (Gill) Hunter, of Cinnaminson, died Dec. 10. She was 63. Hunter was born in Riverside and graduated from Palmyra High School in 1967. She was the founder and owner of Hunter's Farm Market. Hunter was a past president and member of the Burlington County Farm Bureau Women's Caucus, softball coach for Cinnaminson Pals, Farm Woman of The Year, and a member of the Palmyra Riverton Cinnaminson Rotary. She was an avid fishing lady and was known in the Keys as the Tarpon Queen. Barbara loved her summers on Long Beach Island. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, John H. Former Cinnaminson Police Lt. William Peters Dies

Services for William J. Peters, the only Cinnaminson officer ever shot in the line of duty, will be tonight.

Former Cinnaminson Police Lt. William J. Peters passed away peacefully on November 29, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family. According to Cinnaminson officials, Peters is the only officer in Cinnaminson Police history who was shot in the line of duty. Peters ultimately retired in 1972 due to his injuries he sustained from the shooting. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Peters was 72 years old. Obituary: Edgar A. Lamon Jr.

Services wil be Dec. 1 in Palmyra.

Edgar A. Lamon Jr., of Cinnaminson, died peacefully Nov. 27. He was 90.  Lamon is survived by his wife of 70 years, Thelma, sons Donn, Guy and Gary and daughter Judy Du Bois, grandchildren Michelle, Stephanie, Kristen, Drew, Guy Jr., Jennifer, Lauren and Dana and 8 great-grandchildren. Lamon was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Palmyra. He was a former Marine who served in the South Pacific during World War II. Lamon had a long career as a real estate broker and appraiser. Obituary: Cinnaminson's Greg Matonick, NJ's "Superman," Dies

Eugene Melnyk passed away peacefully on Oct. 8 at his residence. Eugene was a resident of Mt. The Cinnaminson man died in a car accident earlier this week.

Services for David Koloski, the Cinnaminson man who died in a car accident earlier this week, will be held Friday night. Koloski's 2006 Ford Mustang left the roadway Tuesday afternoon and hit a utility pole on Branch Pike near Stephen Drive.  Koloski leaves behind a wife and two daughters.  Here is Koloski's obituary as posted on the Givnish Funeral Homes website: David H. Samuel E. Elvert passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the Masonic Home of NJ in Jacksonville. Born in Philadelphia, Sam was 103 years old. In his early years (1926), Sam played semipro baseball for the Riverside Field Club of the Burlington County League.
