Poll: Was Firing Andy Reid the Right Move for the Eagles?

The winningest coach in franchise history is out after nearly a decade and a half.

After 140 wins—a franchise record—and nine trips to the playoffs, including the 2004 run to the Super Bowl, it's official: Andy Reid is done as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. The team announced the news via a statement on its website, ahead of a noon press conference on Reid's firing. "Andy Reid won the most games of any head coach in Eagles history and he is someone I respect greatly and will remain friends with for many years to come,” said team owner Jeffrey Lurie in the statement. "But, it is time for the Eagles to move in a new direction. Coach Reid leaves us with a winning tradition that we can build upon.
