The township worked with the property owners to get rid of the blighted property.
Cinnaminson will be free of a major blighted property in February when the former Mobil gas station on the corner of Route 130 and Willow Drive will be demolished. The station—which has been abandoned since 2003—was just recently added to the township’s abandoned properties list, allowing Cinnaminson officials to intervene. The property owner and attorneys agreed to the demolition Tuesday and have 30 days to make good on their promise. The Mainline center recently got a facelift and Mainline II is slated for a major one this year. “To have property that looks like this in the middle of it—clearly it’s not advancing the health, safety and welfare of the township,” said Deputy Mayor Anthony Minniti, who serves as the township’s director of…

The township purchased the land last year for about $355,000. Remediation work was done on the spot, Mayor said, but those final reports are not yet available. Prior to the township purchasing the spot, Deputy Mayor Anthony Minniti said the only potential buyer for the lot was Goodwill, whose officials wanted to put a clothing donation…

Township committee will vote Monday on an ordinance authorizing the purchase of the vacant Barone’s Service Center along the corridor at Highland Avenue, using about $350,000 of grant money left over from the township’s Route 130 reconfiguration project. “The plan is to remove the curb cuts, knock the building down and grass it over,” said Deputy Mayor Anthony Minniti, who is also the director of economic development. Township committee secured grant money through the New Jersey Department of Transportation for the corridor project several years ago. Minniti said since that project came under budget, there’s some money left over. After speaking to the township attorney and DOT, Minniti said the township received the necessary approval to …
