A resource fair, in recognition of National Children's Mental Health Awareness Month, will be held at Burlington County Institute of Technology Thursday.
Burlington County residents who want to learn more about community and school programs and services to prevent and address crisis due to suicide, homicide, accident and illness are invited to a resource fair Thursday at the Burlington County Institute of Technology, 695 Woodlane Rd., Westampton. The event—from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the school’s atrium—is being held in recognition of National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Month and is hosted by the Burlington County Traumatic Loss Coalition (TLC), in collaboration with the Burlington County School Crisis Response Team (BCSCRT). The freeholder board is recommending that Donald P. Lucas serve as superintendent for both schools.
In an effort to save money and streamline efficiency, Burlington County freeholders are recommending that that county's Special Services School District and the Burlington County Institute of Technology share one superintendent. Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio this week called on the two districts to appoint Donald P. Lucas, superintendent of the special-services district, to fill the role. Students from Camden and Burlington technical schools will compete in a flower show at the Deptford Mall.
Spring may seem far away, but flowers will be in bloom this weekend at the Deptford Mall. The mall will hold the 30th Annual New Jersey Southern Regional Student Flower Show in its center court. The show is expected to include as many as 250 entries, including bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, newborn arrangements, potted flowering plants and dish gardens. Students from the Gloucester Township campus of Camden County Technical Schools, who are hosting the event, will demonstrate their talents as they compete for ribbons in 33 categories along with high school students from Bankbridge Regional High School, Buena Regional High School, the Burlington County Institute of Technology, Cumberland Regional High School, Penns Grove High School, …
