A Delanco man was shot after becoming involved in a struggle with a police officer early Tuesday, according to authorities. Delanco Township Police received a 911 call around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday from a resident on the 400 block of Delaware Avenue, who reported that a man was causing a disturbance in the street, a release from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office stated. When a Delanco police officer arrived on the scene, he found the man behaving in a disorderly fashion. Lori Stilley, 41, of Suburban Boulevard, fooled both friends and strangers with her tales of advanced bladder cancer. She even engineered a wedding, financed by donations, by telling friends she wanted to marry her boyfriend before she died. A grand jury indicted Steven Donaldson in connection with the death of 1-year-old Claudia Nunes in Cinnaminson earlier this year, according to authorities.
A grand jury indicted a Shamong man on a charge of murder in connection with the death of a 1-year-old toddler in Cinnaminson earlier this year, authorities said Tuesday. Steven R. Donaldson, 29, of Wesickamen Drive, is formally charged with killing Claudia Nunes on Feb. 12 at his girlfriend’s Cinnaminson home, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. The toddler, who turned a year old the day before her death, was in Donaldson’s girlfriend’s foster care. Authorities said Donaldson was caring for the girl while his girlfriend was at work. Authorities are investigating threats made against employees at Burlington County College's physical education center.
Burlington County College shut down the physical education building at its Pemberton Township campus Monday after threats were made against college staff, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office. The threats, which were non-specific in nature, were sent to the personal cell phones of some of the employees of the physical education center Sunday afternoon. The college closed the physical education building Monday as a precaution. The rest of the campus was unaffected, according to a release from the prosecutor's office. A Cinnaminson man was sentenced to seven years in state prison for sexually assaulting a teenage boy in Wood Park more than two years ago. Daniel Smith, of Lenola Road, was sentenced in Superior Court Wednesday, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office. Smith will serve seven years for sexual assault, in accordance with a plea agreement he negotiated in November 2012. Smith had been free on bail pending the sentencing. He will also be on parole supervision for the rest of his life and be required to register as a sex offender upon his release, according to the Burlington County Times. A man wanted for allegedly beating a gas station attendant to death, then robbing a Delran gas station days later, was captured in Camden Friday morning following a 12-day manhunt. Zedrick T. Johnson, 34, whose last known address is the unit block of Bentley Lane in Willingboro, was taken into custody at 7:45 a.m. at a house on the 100 block of North 23rd Street, Camden, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. Johnson had been on the lam since killing attendant Bal Krishna Karki during a robbery at the Lukoil gas station at Route 130 North and Charleston Road in Willingboro on Feb. 11, authorities said.
