Sex Offender Daniel Smith Sentenced

He'll serve time in state prison, as well as have to register as a sex offender, for assaulting a teenage boy in Wood Park two years ago.

A Cinnaminson man was sentenced to seven years in state prison for sexually assaulting a teenage boy in Wood Park more than two years ago.  Daniel Smith, of Lenola Road, was sentenced in Superior Court Wednesday, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office. Smith will serve seven years for sexual assault, in accordance with a plea agreement he negotiated in November 2012. Smith had been free on bail pending the sentencing. He will also be on parole supervision for the rest of his life and be required to register as a sex offender upon his release, according to the Burlington County Times. Sentencing for Child Molester Postponed Again

Daniel Smith, of Cinnaminson, pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a teenager at a township park two years ago.

UPDATE: Daniel Smith's sentencing was postponed again today. According to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office, Smith is scheduled to be sentenced at 10 a.m. next Thursday, March 7. ________________________ Sentencing for a Cinnaminson man who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy in Wood Park two years ago has been postponed until next week. Daniel Smith, of Lenola Road, was scheduled to be sentenced in Superior Court Thursday, but the sentencing was pushed back until 10 a.m. next Thursday, Feb. 28, according to Joel Bewley, spokesman for the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.
