Police Search for Armed and Home Robbery Suspects
One suspect has been caught while the other, and the handgun, has yet to be.
Police are still working to identify a second subject involved in an armed robbery in Palmyra. Police already arrested 41-year-old Lloyd Howard, of Palmyra, and charged him with robbery, aggravated assault and theft. Palmyra Police said a subject was robbed at gunpoint around 11:30 p.m., Jan. 23, near West Fifth Street and Delaware Avenue. The victim told officers he was approached by two men who requested he buy them beer. When the victim refused, police said one of the subjects showed the victim a handgun and robbed him of $20 and a pocket knife. The crime stops when the criminals realize that they might just get shot when they try to rob someone. Unfortunately the laws in NJ prohibit ordinary (read: non-politically-connected) people from carrying a firearm for self-defense. The criminals know this, and obviously don't follow that law. So they are free to use firearms to rob those of us who do follow the law. more ›
