Chris Ricciuti, a lifelong Cinnaminson resident, passed away last week at the age of 51.
Christopher L. (Chris) Ricciuti, a lifelong Cinnaminson resident and an active member of the Cinnaminson Fire Department, passed away suddenly at the age of 51 on Friday, May 3. Chris worked for his father’s company, Art Guild Inc., for 34 years as a purchasing agent. He liked to golf, fish, go off-roading in the pines, and especially loved showing and driving his Corvette. Chris was past president of Cinnaminson Fire Department, past president of St. Charles Borromeo Holy Name Society, current treasurer of the Classic Corvette Club, and a proud member of Riverton Country Club. Barbara H. (Gill) Hunter, of Cinnaminson, died Dec. 10. She was 63. Hunter was born in Riverside and graduated from Palmyra High School in 1967. She was the founder and owner of Hunter's Farm Market. Hunter was a past president and member of the Burlington County Farm Bureau Women's Caucus, softball coach for Cinnaminson Pals, Farm Woman of The Year, and a member of the Palmyra Riverton Cinnaminson Rotary. She was an avid fishing lady and was known in the Keys as the Tarpon Queen. Barbara loved her summers on Long Beach Island. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, John H. Eugene Melnyk passed away peacefully on Oct. 8 at his residence. Eugene was a resident of Mt. Laurel and formerly a resident of Cinnaminson for 50 years. Samuel E. Elvert passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the Masonic Home of NJ in Jacksonville. Born in Philadelphia, Sam was 103 years old. In his early years (1926), Sam played semipro baseball for the Riverside Field Club of the Burlington County League. Sam started his tool & die maker career at the Victor Talking Machine Company in Camden, NJ. He retired from the Radio Corporation of America in 1972. He was a long time member (1951) of Riverton Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf. Sam was a long time member of The Philadelphia Seniors Golf Association. Marie “Ree” McKeaney (nee Haines) passed away peacefully on June 10, 2012 at her residence in Cinnaminson. Born in Palmyra, Ree was 69 years old. She was a graduate of Palmyra High School and Pierce Junior College. Ree was employed as a medical secretary for Dr. David Lee in Medford until her retirement in June.
