Three Stole $500 of Liquor on New Year's Eve, Police Say
The accused attempted to flee in a vehicle before they were stopped by police.
Three people were arrested after trying to steal more than $500 worth of alcohol from ShopRite on New Year's Eve, Cinnaminson Police said. Around noon on Dec. 31, 2012, police were dispatched to ShopRite for a theft in progress. It was reported that several subjects attempted to leave the store with more than $500 worth of alcohol without paying. It was also reported that the subjects began fighting with store employees when confronted. The subjects tried to leave in a vehicle just as police arrived. The vehicle was stopped and the three people were taken into custody. Two of the subjects physically resisted the police during the arrest.
