Mothers Matter 5K Honors South Jersey Woman's Life of Giving

Lauren Rose Albert's legacy of helping others lives on in a foundation and 5K race that proclaims "mothers matter."

Editor's note, 1 a.m., Oct. 28: The Mothers Matter 5K, sponsored by the Lauren Rose Albert Foundation, is postponed. The race is now scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 25 at 9 a.m. at Washington Lake Park, Sewell. ------------------ Lauren Rose Albert was a lot of things: daughter, sister, wife, mom. Above all, she was a giving person who sought to help people she encountered, even in small ways. So when a car accident claimed her life in 1999, Albert’s family knew they’d have to find a way to continue her legacy. From that, the Lauren Rose Albert Foundation was born. BurlCo Lands Huge New Rothman Institute Branch

Doctors cut the ribbon on the 33,000-square-foot facility, expected to draw in patients from all over South Jersey.

South Jersey has a new place to go for its broken bones, bad backs and sports injuries. The Rothman Institute, a private orthopedic practice, recently celebrated the opening of its expansive new Marlton office. With 45 exam rooms, 33,000 square feet of space, X-ray and epidural injection suites, and 70 staff on-site, Rothman’s new branch is a one-stop shop for its patients. “Our ultimate goal is to have happy patients and happy physicians,” said Dr. Todd Albert, president of the Rothman Institute. “We’re all about the patient experience and promoting healing for our patients.” Orthopedic care is becoming increasingly necessary as Baby Boomers enter their senior years, pushing up patient needs at many facilities, including Rothman, the …
