Police: Three Arrested in Hotel Burglary Scheme

A New York man stole a pass key to enter other guests' rooms.

  A Sleep Inn hotel guest allegedly stole a pass key and entered other guests' rooms to steal items, police said. Around 1:41 p.m. Nov. 18, Cinnaminson Police were dispatched to the Route 130 hotel. The accused left before police got there but was arrested after a short foot pursuit. Darrell Fields, 30, of Park Avenue, Bronx in New York, was charged with burglary, resisting arrest and obstruction. Police also found Fields was a fugitive from Pennsylvania. He was lodged in Burlington County Jail on $45,000 bail.  A female and male accomplice attempted to lock police out of the room during the investigation. Stolen Car Found in Hotel Parking Lot

A car stolen in Lindenwold turned up in Cinnaminson.

A car parked in the lot of the Sleep Inn on Aug. 9 turned up stolen, according to Cinnaminson Police, after a patrolling officer checked on its status. Around 1:20 a.m., a township police officer checked a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix that had two occupants in the parking lot of the Route 130 hotel. The officer found the car had been reported stolen in Lindenwold Aug. 4. The two occupants of the car were taken into custody. Byaer Johnson, 25, of the unit block of Berkshire Road in Sicklerville, was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and certain persons not to possess weapons.  Johnson was lodged in Burlington County Jail in default of $20,000 bail. Police: Man Asked Hotel Clerk to Keep His Hypodermic Needle Safe

The Philadelphia man was arrested twice in four hours.

Cinnaminson Police said a Philadelphia man, who left a hypodermic needle at the front desk of a hotel in town for "safekeeping," was arrested twice in the same day early Friday morning on multiple charges. Police had been dispatched around 5:05 a.m. to the Sleep Inn for a disturbance call and arrested Anthony Burgos on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia. Burgos, 30, of the 4000 block of North 3rd Street, allegedly left the needle with the hotel's clerk for "safekeeping."  He was processed and released. About four hours later, police were again called for a disturbance. Burgos was found in the parking lot. He ignored officers' commands, entered his car and sped away. Police said he …
