He'll serve time in state prison, as well as have to register as a sex offender, for assaulting a teenage boy in Wood Park two years ago.
A Cinnaminson man was sentenced to seven years in state prison for sexually assaulting a teenage boy in Wood Park more than two years ago. Daniel Smith, of Lenola Road, was sentenced in Superior Court Wednesday, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office. Smith will serve seven years for sexual assault, in accordance with a plea agreement he negotiated in November 2012. Smith had been free on bail pending the sentencing. He will also be on parole supervision for the rest of his life and be required to register as a sex offender upon his release, according to the Burlington County Times. Smith was arrested in January 2011 after he sexually assaulted the then 14-year-old boy at Wood Park on Dec. 1, 2010. Smith said he contacted …

The advisory committee meets once a month to discuss park and recreation initiatives.
Field usage is a top priority for the parks and recreation department this year as the group reforms under the direction of Committeeman Don Brauckmann. And Brauckmann, the director of parks and recreation, said that is a “massive undertaking.” “We really want to think of a coordinated approach for field usage,” Brauckmann said “It’s costs a lot of money to light our fields.” With that in mind, Brauckmann and the parks and recreation members have invited all Cinnaminson sports commissioners to their February meeting to “put our heads together and think how can we do this.” Brauckmann said he hopes the group can come up with a master schedule to maximize field usage at Wood and Memorial parks. “Hopefully we can come up with ideas,” he …

Nosni, Thanks for your comment. We usually try to get all names however in a huge gallery like this, it's pretty impossible. Additionally, most of the photos are user-submitted so if the person who uploaded doesn't type in a caption, there's no way for me, the editor, to know. I do thank you for your comment and tend to agree! Christina   more ›

Mayor Don Brauckmann, who also serves as the director of parks and recreation, encourages residents to bring drinks (no alcohol), and lawn chairs or a blanket. I'm sure this tribute will continue to grow every year...and for sure, I won't…   more ›
