About Cindy

I live in the East Riverton section of Cinnaminson, in the house my great-great-grandfather built in 1889-my kids are the 6th consecutive generation to live here. In the real world, I'm a substitute teacher for the Palmyra School District. The rest of the time, I'm president of the PCWA and "The Turtle Lady". I've been monitoring the turtle (and other species)populations in the creek since 2000. In addition to still working to protect and restore the snapping turtle population, I do educational "Turtle Talks" throughout NJ, & try to raise awareness of environmental issues and the importance of volunteerism. Please note that anything I say in my blog posts are my personal opinions, and do not necessarily reflect the views of any organization with which I am affiliated.

Cindy,
As much as I appreciate the effort you put into your blogs please understand that there is a bigger picture here than your article. Any posts regarding the election are bringing out the worst of our residents and it's sad that we are so divided. It stopped being constructive debate a long time ago.

Hi Cindy, there are two components to the community, the "for sale" town homes and "for rent" apartments. The 151 affordable units are apartments, so they are located in that portion of the community. The Township originally approved the 151 affordable apartments to be interspersed among the 400 market rate rentals. They were ordered segregated by the court so all 151 units would be located in 5 separate buildings. We fought to have the affordable units re-integrated so there is no difference between any of the rental buildings. All will be a mix of market rate and affordable apartments.
