Hi Joe, to answer your question, yes, the Public Safety Director replaces the Chief of Police. The previous acting chief was being paid approximately 120,000 per year, plus health and pension contribution. The new Public Safety Director will be paid a salary of 80,000 a year, no benefits, and no pension contribution. Also, no Township vehicle, a courtesy extended to prior chiefs/acting chiefs or gas allowance is being given. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to email at avmrph@comcast.net or message me on Facebook
