Give Cinnaminson a Slogan

What makes Cinnaminson a great place to live? If you can think of a short, catchy answer to that question, the township wants to hear from you.

In six words or less, answer this question: What makes Cinnaminson a great place to live?

If you have a way with words, the township is looking for your help crafting a slogan to go along with the redesign of its website. Committeeman Don Brauckmann, who has helped spearhead the redesign, said he, along with others, have tried brainstorming a catchy motto that captures the best Cinnaminson has to offer—but it's proved a tough nut to crack.

"I'm really struggling," said Brauckmann, who tried to focus on "community" and "home" as his slogan-ready buzzwords. "It's very difficult to come up with something that's six words or less."

Brauckmann searched online and discovered that most marketing experts suggest a six-word limit for slogans. He perused a number of small-town slogans looking for inspiration, but said, "Nothing really jumps out at me."

Though it'll be hard for Cinnaminson to best Gettysburg, SD ("Where the battle wasn't") or Hooker, OK ("It's a location, not a vocation") for sheer comic value, Brauckmann is hoping the townspeople will provide something that sums up Cinnaminson's best qualities.

"I know we have some creative minds," he said.

The only parameters for the slogan are: "What makes Cinnaminson a great place to live?" (in as few words as possible). The slogan will be featured prominently on the homepage of the new township website, and may be used on other marketing materials.

If you think you've got a winner, email Brauckmann at dbrauckmann@cinnaminsonnj.org. Do not post slogan suggestions in the comments section here, or they will likely not be considered.

Brauckmann said the slogan solicitation is not a contest—he and others involved with the website redesign will informally judge the entries and make a selection—but the "winner/s" will receive some sort of recognition from the township (if they want to be recognized).

The redesigned township website is expected to be unveiled sometime before the end of the summer, according to Brauckmann, who provided Patch with a sneak peek of the new website (which looks to be a vast improvement over the current design).
