"The Road Goes Ever On and On..."

The turtle lady with a look at the week ahead

As the title quote from J.R.R. Tolkien implies, the journey continues. Though there are few meetings to attend this week, it will be busy none the less.

Tuesday is the deadline for letters to Ken Appleget at Green Acres and the Cinnaminson township clerk, in which you may state your opinion about the diversion of the Cinnaminson Home property from the ROSI list. Please contact me if you need the addresses or would like your letter to go in an overnight packet with letters from other people. (Please note that I'm not telling you which side of the fence your opinion should fall, I just want people to write and let Green Acres and the township know how you feel!)

Wednesday evening at 7:30PM is a meeting of the Cinnaminson Zoning Board. From what I've observed so far this year, it looks like this group plays a big part in what goes on in Cinnaminson. It's important for as many of us as possible to be there to hear what's going on around us that can impact our lives. And as always, a period for public comments is always included in the agenda - it's gift from our founding fathers that we are given the opportunity to speak up so that our government knows how we feel (and it's rude not to accept a gift graciously!

Thursday is one of my favorite holidays - Groundhog Day! If you see a 5'2" groundhog at the Shoprite or driving a little blue truck, it might not necessarily be me - there are probably lots of other people who dress up like large rodents on February 2nd, right?

Groundhog Day means it's February! And that makes me think about how quickly time seems to move these days. And that creates the need to share my thoughts on time and relativity (don't be afraid - it will make sense soon!)

When you're 4 years old, 1 year is one fourth (1/4) of the entire time you've been around; when you're 54 years old, 1 year is one fifty-fourth (1/54) of your entire life! Common sense and simple math explain why time flies as we get older. It's all a matter of perspective! (I've included some lovely pie charts to illustrate my point.)

Before I am overwhelmed by another divergent path, I think I'll go to breakfast, and leave you all with the lyrics from a song by my friend, Jill Sobule, entitled "Ritalin Kid:"

Ritalin Kid, Ritalin Kid,
Ooooo, look a squirrel!
