Date Set for Cinnaminson Site Launch

Committeeman Don Brauckmann said minor tweaks aside, Cinnaminson's new website is good to go.

Some very minor tweaks aside, Cinnaminson Township's new municipal website is done and just about ready to launch.

Committeeman Don Brauckmann got the OK from his colleagues on committee Monday to roll out the new-look website next Monday.

The township awarded a contract to Networks Plus back in May to redesign the site, spurred on by a poor showing in a study by Monmouth University, which ranked municipal websites statewide; Cinnaminson came in 517th out of 540 sites.

The site will have a number of new features, including a "How to" section, historical information, a business directory, parks and recreation information, and school and church directories, among other things.

Brauckmann originally planned to launch the site on Cinnaminson Day, and use the event as a platform to show it off to the public.

However, while he noted there still might be some tweaks to work out, the site is more or less good to go.

His fellow committee members didn't see the need to wait two weeks.

"It looks great," said Committeeman John McCarthy. "If you keep on worrying about it being perfect, you'll never open it."

Committee told Brauckmann to direct Networks Plus to launch next Monday, and use the next several days to make any necessary alterations. The site can also be updated following the launch.

Brauckmann said Networks Plus will present a demonstration of the new municipal website at Cinnaminson Day, as well as a walkthrough at committee's regular meeting on Sept. 23.
